What you will do
You will contribute to the delivery of audit, assurance and advisory services to Commonwealth agencies, supporting improved public sector performance and accountability. In this role, you will develop strategies to:
* Improve compliance, risk and performance outcomes.
* Provide assurance across financial, legislative compliance and process designs.
* Ensure strong organisational governance and risk management.
* Address internal control weaknesses and mitigate business risk exposures.
* Test processes, operational controls and identify any gaps.
* Provide strategic and pragmatic remediation advice.

About your extraordinary skills:
We're looking for people who are:
* A strategic thinker with 3+ years of experience in consultancy, internal / external audit, risk, compliance or governance.
* A strong communicator, able to distil complexity into clear, persuasive writing.
* Adept at building stakeholder relationships and influencing decision-makers.
* Detail-focused, analytical, and ready to challenge the status quo.
* Professionally qualified, with tertiary education in law, commerce, accounting, Finance, IT, or similar.
* Passionate about supporting government to drive better outcomes through innovation.
Highly regarded:
* Experience in consulting to Australian Government Agencies.
* A background in audit, risk or assurance.
* An interest in public sector reform and continuous improvement.
Eligibility
Australian citizenship is required due to the nature of our clients and work. You must be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance, which includes a check of your background and personal history over the past 5+ years. If you don't already hold clearance, we'll guide you through the process after offer acceptance.
