Overview
Join ourteam at KYST on the Busselton Foreshore in a leader capacity and put your culinary stamp on our Venue. We are seeking highly experienced Sous Chefs to apply their culinary skills to aid in positioning Busselton as a food destination.
Reporting to our Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the daily running of the kitchen & supporting a great kitchen team. You will have experience in all areas of quality menu management with the skills and attitude needed to work with talented teams.

Responsibilities
Prepare, lead and manage kitchen operations daily, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Mentor and support a skilled kitchen team, delegate tasks, and maintain a positive, efficient work environment. Monitor kitchen performance and support menu management, including recipe execution and consistency across outlets. Ensure food safety, HACCP principles, and compliance with all relevant regulations. Collaborate with venue leadership on operational goals and guest experience.
About You
- Several years of experience in fast-paced kitchens serving high-quality menus.
- Proven skills in supporting capacity in teams and setting high standards; able to run all areas of the kitchen, particularly in the Head Chef\'s absence.
- Being part of a high performance culture.
- Contributing to the creation of innovative menus at the highest level.
- An understanding of modern Australian cuisine and current market trends.
- Ability to aid in the costings of all menus and learn and maintain food cost control practices.
- Experience in a similar role.
- An obsession with guest satisfaction
- Ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast-paced environment maintaining a level headed temperament.
- Participates in a 7 day working roster of days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
- Leadership in food safety and HACCP principles.
- Certificate III and Cert IV in Commercial Cookery (minimum).
- Successful candidates will partner closely with the venue leadership team to produce great outcomes in our operation.
