Occupational Therapist Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist support and service provision to children with disabilities or developmental delays and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work within a trans-disciplinary team to provide early intervention services focused on child and family goals and priorities delivered within both universal and specialist support services.
* Assess, develop, and implement planning, therapy, and other support strategies to achieve high-quality outcomes for the child and family.
* Monitor, evaluate, and clearly define child goals to ensure service effectiveness and continuous improvements through regular review.
* Provide ongoing feedback through progress notes, reports, and discussion with families/carers in a timely and effective manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
* APRHA registration.
* Experience and demonstrable knowledge in the delivery of services within aged care or early intervention for children and families following best practice guidelines.
* Demonstrated skills and knowledge in play skills, behaviour management, and parent education.
