Our Infrastructure and Precincts, Precincts and Venues team provides regionally significant venues that are fully accessible and inclusive to influence and inspire active experiences for Queenslanders.Sport and Recreation supports and encourages participation and success in sport and active recreation through delivery of: grant funding for sport and active recreation organisations and clubs, infrastructure and participation programs, the operation of precincts and venues, and through engaging and partnering with the active industry across Queensland.We're investing in our community to enrich the Queensland way of life through sport and active recreation, and we're also working to enable Queensland to deliver the Brisbane **** Olympic and Paralympic Games on time and on budget.This is your opportunity to:Lead the implementation of sport and recreation activities and programs, including appropriate allocation of resources.Supervise Program Leaders in their delivery of quality programs to the venue's clients.Ensure programs and activities at the venue comply with workplace health and safety requirements, and industry regulations and standards.Provide a leadership role in ensuring appropriate standards of client service and relationship management within the venue and with the local community.Liaise, consult, negotiate and develop partnerships with appropriate industry stakeholders in relation to the delivery of sport and outdoor recreation programs at the Venue.Negotiate, procure and manage contracts with suppliers.Facilitate quality experiences for individuals and groups in a safe and appropriate manner.Ensure that accompanying teachers / group leaders have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities while conducting activities at the Venue.Establish and maintain effective administrative systems and procedures in compliance with departmental policies and procedures.Contribute to the development of plans, strategies and team goals.Contribute to a workplace culture based on values and behaviours, ensuring a positive work environment that is safe, healthy, diverse, respectful and inclusive.Please take the time to read the Role Description which provides additional details on mandatory requirements, and feel free to reach out to our contact officer if you have any questions.We look forward to receiving your application
