Are you an experienced oncology nurse ready for the next step in their career and passionate about delivering outstanding patient care? We're looking for a motivated and compassionate Nursing Unit Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our multidisciplinary oncology & haematology team at our Cancer Care Wollongong centre.
The role offers the opportunity to drive high standards in oncology nursing, oversee resource management, and ensure best practice guidelines are applied to improve patient outcomes. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient experiences and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the nursing team, providing excellent leadership and maintaining effective communication.
* Ensure high-quality patient care through adherence to current oncology nursing trends and evidence-based practices.
* Manage team performance, conduct annual reviews, and support professional development initiatives.
* Implement continuous improvement strategies, collaborating with doctors, radiation therapists, and other staff.
What you will need:
* Current AHPRA registration.
* Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in medical oncology nursing.
* Demonstrated leadership and management experience within a healthcare setting, preferably in oncology.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to manage resources and apply relevant healthcare legislation.
