We are seeking an accomplished Mechanical Assembler to join our high-performance workshop team in a challenging environment.
Job Overview:
* Disassemble, inspect and requalify mechanical components (motors, alternators, bearings, etc.)
* Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process using iPads for documentation
* Assemble and fit components with precision and care
* Measure and inspect critical parts for optimal performance
* Contribute to Lean initiatives and workshop efficiency
* Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance
Your Skills & Qualifications:
* Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Machine Repair
* Experience overhauling AC/DC motors, alternators, and rotating equipment
* Sound mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
* Familiarity with GE or EMD motor systems highly regarded
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Willingness to learn and grow within a high-performing team
What We Offer:
* Competitive Hourly Rates: Days ($57.36hr), Afternoons (up to $68.83hr)
* Penalty rates for public holidays (up to 150%]
