Job Description

Position Summary:
- Provide support to clients according to their NDIS plans.
- Assist clients with daily activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
- Provide transportation assistance to clients.
- Offer respite care to clients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
- Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
