About The Role
The position offers an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse interested in working full-time hours within a community mental health team, particularly with the adult population.
Bathurst Community Mental Health comprises a multidisciplinary team including Registered Nurses, Psychology, Social Work, and Psychiatry, supported by senior clinicians. The role involves a mix of acute care and clinical management, ideal for developing skills in mental health, including assessment, critical thinking, rapport building, and therapeutic interventions.
The team provides services such as brief intervention, complex case management, and specialized therapies like DBT, CBT-e, SSCM, and EMDR. There is also an opportunity to collaborate with community support services and carers to deliver comprehensive care to consumers with complex needs.
