DTS has moved to a 4 day working week with friday forming part of your weekend. This associate role is based in our office at Capalaba Brisbane, and you will be required to work out of the office for at least the first 12 months.
DTS is a team of professionals with a comprehensive knowledge of the product development and regulatory processes in Australia and New Zealand with regards to chemicals, biological products, and devices. We are the leading independent chemical regulatory affairs consultancy in Australia and New Zealand.
Our consultants are experienced in successfully working with regulatory authorities to achieve regulatory approval for a wide range of products including agricultural products, veterinary, human medicines, medical devices, industrial chemicals, food, cosmetics and more. Our clients are national and global, and we deal with multi-national companies down to small micro businesses.
DTS employs a wide range of sciences, including biology, environmental, chemistry, toxicology, and regulatory risk assessment.
The Role
This is an associate level position where you will be expected to quickly acquire knowledge and skills related to regulatory affairs and risk assessment. Ideally you will progress to a consultant's level within 12 months.
The successful applicant will receive training to develop the necessary skills to provide strategic regulatory and technical support for various products. You will be focused on agricultural products regulated by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority. The role will expand to include other products and regulators over time.
Who We Are Looking For
The successful applicant will be highly motivated and possess a degree in a relevant scientific discipline, and a minimum of 3 years' experience gained in industry, government or in a contract research organisation setting. Ideally, you will have prior experience in applying scientific principles to meet regulatory requirements. This is not essential as training will be provided within the first 12 months. Our key requirements are that a candidate has a scientific background and a good attitude.

* work from Capalaba (Brisbane) office for 4 days each week..
The Tasks
You will be part of a team that prepares:
* regulatory dossiers for the authorisation of agrochemicals, biocides, microbial and other biological products, and
* safety evaluations of active substances and products with respect to matters of chemistry, toxicology, residues in food, worker safety, risks to trade, and environmental safety, and
* evaluations of efficacy and crop safety studies, and
* labels and safety data sheets, in accordance with Australian and New Zealand requirements,
as well as:
* project management and time recording,
* engaging with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders,
* look to improving both personally and the business, and
* represent DTS in a professional manner.
The tasks you will work on require a high attention to detail and written communication skills.
DTS Working Environment.
DTS provides a flexible working environment and operate on a four-day week. This position is advertised as a full-time position based at the DTS office in Capalaba, Brisbane. Eventually you can work to a hybrid position however it is important during your training that you spend your time in the office.
Whilst we are the leading independent chemical regulatory affairs consultancy in Australia, DTS is a small business with 15-18 employees. As a small team covering a diverse range of products, the working environment is one of continuous learning.
