As the Quality Assurance Officer, you will be a vital part of the team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing Baiada's commitment to quality in poultry processing. This position offers consistent and full-time hours.
About the Role:
As the QA Officer, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Verify cleaning and pest control activities to ensure hygiene standards are met.
* Maintain and improve the Quality Management System.
* Conduct internal audits and support external audit preparation and participation.
* Verify monitoring activities during production and review completed daily paperwork.
* Prepare product samples for laboratory testing and analyse lab results.
* Perform data entry, filing, and reporting related to quality and hygiene.
* Conduct end of shelf life product evaluations.
* Carry out post clean and environmental swabbing, including Biotrace testing in RTE and fully cooked areas.
* Perform 2-hourly cook-ups and sensory evaluations.
* Collect product samples for quality checks.
* Calibrate equipment including scales, Oxybaby, and thermometers.
* Evaluate both fresh and frozen products for quality and compliance
Requirements:
* Food Technology degree/qualification (preferred, but not essential)
* Excellent communications skills
* Comfortable working around raw poultry
* Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment
