What's the role?

We are seeking a Portfolio Manager – Enterprise Systems and Publishing Operations to join our Sydney office on a permanent basis. This role is responsible for providing Senior management with high-level, portfolio-wide reporting on the status of all I.T. projects across Enterprise Systems and Publishing Operations.

Key responsibilities

* Maintain the consolidated portfolio view across all enterprise systems and publishing technology initiatives, including CAPEX-funded roadmap projects, global initiatives, OPEX-funded work, business-led projects, medium-to-large BAU initiatives, and projects in pre-approval.

* Produce accurate, executive-ready portfolio reporting, providing clear insight into delivery health, risks, and dependencies.

* Independently validate project statuses against the TDD Project Framework to ensure reporting accurately reflects project health.

* Establish and manage a consistent reporting cadence, including RAG status, milestones, and critical dependencies.

* Identify and escalate portfolio-level risks and cross-project dependencies early.

* Provide portfolio-level insight and support to senior leaders on project-related issues.

* Provide guidance to projects on good project management practices where required to ensure proper planning, a clearly defined scope and a realistic schedule.

* Partner with Strategy and Portfolio teams to ensure projects are accurately represented.

* Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by translating complex project information into concise, actionable insights.

Who are you?

* At least 5 years experience in end to end delivery of I.T. projects in a large organisation which must include at least one large/complex project.

* Proven experience in portfolio reporting, PMO, or portfolio management roles within large, complex organisations.

* Demonstrated experience producing executive-level reporting and providing independent status validation.

* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.

* Confident engaging senior stakeholders and influencing without formal authority.

* Curious and improvement-focused, with a willingness to challenge and refine existing ways of working.
