Mars Healthcare are partnering with a well-regarded community mental health service in Geraldton that is expanding its Family Domestic and Sexual Violence Mental Health (FDSVMH) program. The team is looking to bring on a Child & Adolescent Mental Health Clinician to provide therapeutic support to children and young people experiencing complex mental health challenges. This is a role where you'll be trusted to use your clinical judgement, collaborate closely with other professionals, and genuinely make an impact in the community. The Role You'll work with children and young people aged 0-18, many of whom are navigating complex mental health presentations influenced by trauma, family violence and psychosocial stressors. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting trauma-informed mental health assessments for children and adolescents Developing and implementing client-led care plans Delivering evidence-informed therapeutic interventions Supporting parents, carers and families as part of the therapeutic process Assessing and managing risk in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team Working closely with schools, paediatric services, youth agencies and child protection services Maintaining high-quality clinical documentation and care planning You'll also have access to clinical supervision, reflective practice and ongoing professional development to continue strengthening your therapeutic skills. To be considered, you'll have: Full registration as one of the following; Psychologist, Mental Health Nurse, Mental Health Accredited Social Worker, Occupational Therapist Experience providing mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions for children and/or adolescents Knowledge of child development, youth mental health and trauma-informed care Experience working with families, caregivers or schools Strong documentation and communication skills Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team Experience supporting young people impacted by trauma, neurodiversity, complex family systems or family and domestic violence will be highly regarded.
