Brunet Law is a modern, growing law firm based in Brisbane. We specialise in building and construction law, insolvency, and commercial litigation. We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant to support our solicitors and contribute to the efficient running of our practice.
About the Role
You will be responsible for providing day-to-day administrative and legal support across a range of matters. The role is varied and fast-paced, offering exposure to high-quality work and an opportunity to grow with the firm.
Key Responsibilities
* Drafting and formatting correspondence, legal documents and court forms
* Managing client files, including opening, maintaining and archiving files
* Liaising with clients, courts, barristers, government agencies and other third parties
* Preparing briefs and compiling documents for court and counsel
* Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence and mail
* General office and administrative tasks, including scanning, photocopying and diary management
* Handling of incoming phone calls, appointment scheduling, issuing of trust account receipts and related matters
About You
* Experience in a legal assistant, legal administration or legal secretary role is desired but not necessary
* Strong written communication and attention to detail
* Proactive and professional, with a strong sense of initiative and accountability
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office is advantageous
