Join us in bringing a new approach to medical and wellbeing care for detainees by:
- Provide comprehensive, person-centred mental health care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment in collaboration with detainees and the multidisciplinary team.
- Coordinate timely access to appropriate healthcare services, including general medical, mental health, drug and alcohol, and allied health services.
- Promote culturally sensitive, safe, and respectful care that upholds the dignity, rights, and individual needs of people in detention.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of mental health services, including participating in policy development, quality initiatives, and performance reviews to enhance clinical outcomes for detainees.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring coordinated, multidisciplinary care and maintaining high standards of professional conduct to support Healthcare Australia’s values and reputation.
0.6 FTE permanent part-time role available
Let's talk about you!:
* A strong commitment to person-centred, high-quality care within a multidisciplinary team.
* AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and a postgraduate mental health qualification (AQF Level 8+).
* Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience in a healthcare setting (non-Telehealth).
* Proven skills in mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and evidence-based treatment.
* Excellent communication, critical thinking, adaptability, and computer proficiency.
* Solid understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
