We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Security Supervisor to join our team. The Event Security Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of all event attendees, staff, performers, and property. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of security protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
A Security Officer Level 4 works above and beyond employees at Levels 1, 2, and 3, according to their skills, competence, and training.
* Works individually or in a team environment under limited supervision, which may not necessarily be at the site where the officer is posted.
* Assists in on-the-job training.
* Exercises discretion within the scope of this classification level.
* Utilizes computer skills at a higher level than Level 3.
* Demonstrates high-level interpersonal and communication skills.
Indicative tasks for this level include:
* Monitoring, recording, and reacting to signals and instruments related to electronic surveillance within a monitoring centre or at a specific location.
* Operating computer programs to manage security systems, including locking/unlocking doors, programming access cards, auditing door access, and recording access times and dates.
* Coordinating, monitoring, or recording activities of security officers via verbal or computer-based communication systems, especially within airport security zones.
Employees at this level may perform duties of officers at Levels 1, 2, and 3 that are not intended to deskill.
Qualifications
Mandatory
* Current and applicable Security License Cert II (per state regulation)
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Australian/New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
* Driver's License
* CPR Certification
* Working with Children Check
* MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
* NV1 and NV2 Clearances
* Control Room License
* RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
* White Card
Experience
* Experience in a similar role preferred
