About the Role
As a Production Estimator, you'll be a key part of our operations team, ensuring the smooth execution of residential builds. Your focus will be on preparing accurate Bills of Quantities and issuing Purchase Orders to support the construction process. Your work will directly impact cost control, build accuracy, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost, material, and labour estimates
* Generate accurate Bills of Quantities using estimating software
* Issue timely and accurate Purchase Orders
* Review and interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, and specifications
* Manage variations and resolve PO-related queries
* Maintain project margins in line with company policy
* Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project success
* Review and process ETS (Estimate to Site) requests efficiently
* Contribute to continuous improvement of business systems and processes
About You
We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
You'll ideally bring:
* 2+ years' experience in residential estimating within the building industry
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
* Strong attention to detail and a logical, solution-focused mindset
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience with DataBuild (highly regarded)
