About the role

We seek an enthusiastic Laboratory Assistant to join our Lab in Orange.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Support Service Officer to become part of our vibrant Specimen Reception Area (SRA). In this key role you will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include:

· Unpacking and coding of diagnostic samples in our fast-paced pre-analytical area, before they are analysed in the Laboratory

This role would suit someone who is open to working part-time to full-time hours, rostered Monday to Friday between 11:00 am and 8:30 pm. This could also include participation in the Saturday roster 11:00 am–2:00 pm.

Ideal candidate

· A hard-working, motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic

· Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a team player, with the ability to work independently

· An individual with strong attention to detail, good time management skills and excellent communication skills

· Strong computer literacy would also be an advantage

· Previous laboratory experience would be advantageous, but not essential
