**About the role**:
Reporting to the Executive Technology Delivery Manager, the Portfolio Manager is accountable for the governance of traditional (agile and waterfall) projects and programs within the Infrastructure portfolio. You will ensure that processes and procedures are being correctly followed by the projects, drive improvement and evolve our governance controls.

In addition, you will provide analysis and recommendations on portfolio performance and support the Project and Program Managers to achieve project delivery excellence (delivering on time, to cost and quality). This will require providing hands on support to the Program and Project Managers (when needed) to assist with compliance and assessing/monitoring the health of the programs.

The role requires a seasoned professional who is able to identify potential risks and issues before they happen, taking a holistic approach across multiple projects and providing support and guidance where needed. This is a unique opportunity to utilise your strong business analysis, program/project management skills in a more supportive role.

**What you'll do**:

- Portfolio management & planning of complex IT Integration, Migration, Transformation, Cloud, Application, and Security project portfolios.
- Lead the governance of traditional projects and act as escalation point for Project/Program Managers.
- Support all elements of the project lifecycle from Idea, Discovery, Delivery and closure phases.
- Provide project guidance and leadership to the respective project teams while maintaining strong relationship with beneficiaries of the program outputs, stakeholders and interested parties across the Group
- Assist in making effective trade off decisions, shaping and reshaping of scope to manage risk, while maintaining strong oversight of quality, time, cost, risk, quality clarity of solution and associated value Portfolio Planning and Initiation
- Provide "front door" support for incoming new projects to provide direction and risk management guidance.
- Support other Enterprise Delivery Practices by identifying domain requirements and impacts, assisting with approach definitions, pathing, scope shaping and risk management

**What you'll bring**:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in technology leadership - specialist experience in infrastructure and/ or data transformation programs preferable
- Minimum 5 years' experience in business analysis, Project Mgt, PMO or Governance & planning
- Experience working on large corporate projects and programs
- Project Management and Business Analysis certification (PMI/Prince2/IBAA preferred)
- Proven delivery experience, knowledge of fundamental agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
- Sound knowledge of Portfolio Governance methods, risk management and assurance concepts
- Strong and proven stakeholder management skills with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of finance processes with the ability to interpret and analyse reports relevant to area of responsibility.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to guide and influence decision making at management level.
- Flexibility and resilience in responding to multiple changing priorities
- Systematic and disciplined approach to planning, organising, decision making and delegation
- Skilled ability to work in a dynamic leadership team, contributing to the overall goals of the group
