About the Roles
The functions of the
ASD Cyber Plans and National Response Planning Team
are:
Lead the ongoing development and testing of the internal facing aspects of the National Cyber Defence Plan.
Plan, coordinate, validate and refine operational cyber defence plans across multiple stakeholders.
An Operations Coordinator working in
Cyber Security Resilience Division
is similar to a project coordinator:
Planning and delivery of complex operations, support large programs that contribute to Australia's national security and deliver cyber resilience outcomes.
A dynamic and cooperative multidisciplinary team, bringing together technical experts, operational team members and experienced policy staff to work across international forums, industry and government.
ASD5 Operations Coordinator
Accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex program support work within an integrated workforce.
Will co-ordinate and contribute to the work of a team consistent to a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members.
Will be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and the Australian Signals Directorate outcomes.
Interpret and comply with moderately complex legislative and regulatory frameworks organisational polices and business processes.
ASD6 Operations Coordinator
Accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex program support work within an integrated workforce.
There is a considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will involve liaison with stakeholders in relation to sensitive security incidents and complex issues.
Independently identify and track operational milestones and incorporate into regular high quality reporting.
Interpret and comply with complex legislative and regulatory frameworks, organisational polices and business processes.
Supervise and train junior team members, be accountable to set work priorities and manage workflows.
Lead collaboration within and across ASD teams to achieve operational outcomes.
Proactively work with Operations Managers to coordinate uplifts, engagements and operational logistics, including travel, acquisition equipment, and other activities as required.
ASD EL1 Operations Manager
This position will lead work creating and coordinating realistic and actionable plans to support ACSC's mission.
The role entails a high level of stakeholder engagement including liaison in relation to sensitive cyber security operations and complex issues.
Evaluate business practices and objectives to understand critical factors for success, and deliver continuous improvement.
Lead a team to provide cyber security advice and assistance to government and industry stakeholders.
Be accountable for leading a team, managing allocated resources, setting work area priorities, managing workflows, developing strategies and evaluating business outcomes.
Under limited direction, you will be required to perform and achieve complex to very complex program support work within an integrated workforce.
Required to lead a team working across the agency to assist with crisis planning.
Understand and advise on a range of cyber security matters including representation at domestic and international forums.
Explain and apply complex information to drive and influence the improvement of cyber security posture.
Technical cyber security skills are not required for this role but a willingness to learn cyber security concepts is recommended, training is provided.

leads work prioritising, creating and coordinating realistic and actionable plans to support ACSC's mission to harden, defend and protect Australia's critical infrastructure from cyber-attack.
Cyber Security Resilience Division
is part of ASD's Australian Cyber Security Centre. Cyber Security Resilience Division works in collaboration with Australian Government and industry partners to improve Australia's cyber defence.
