Overview
Accountant role at Kinexus Australia in Melbourne. You'll be part of a small, hands‑on team, supporting local operations with a broad range of finance functions from day one.
Responsibilities
* Record financial transactions and prepare schedules following AASB, internal policy, and corporate standards
* Assist with month‑end close and financial reporting
* Help support internal, external, and tax audits
* Maintain internal control documentation and policies
* Analyse and reconcile balance sheet accounts
* Work cross‑functionally with HR on payroll and timecard inquiries
* Cross‑train in AP, AR, and Payroll as backup support
* Engage with stakeholders to ensure accurate financial and tax outcomes
Qualifications
* Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
* 5+ years of professional accounting experience
* Comfortable handling transactions, reconciliations, and month‑end
* Able to support audits and maintain internal controls
* Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems
* Analytical mindset and solid documentation skills
Bonus Points
* CPA qualification
* Experience across AP, AR and Payroll
* Proven experience applying Australian tax standards and regulations
* Familiarity with Australian accounting standards (AASB)
Working schedule: Full‑time, on‑site in Melbourne SE Suburbs. Contract Length: Initial 3 month contract. Start: ASAP.
