The Role Lead our busy workshop in welding, fabrication, bending and powdercoating. Oversee a skilled team of boilermakers and fitters, drive efficiency, and ensure top-tier quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily workshop operations and workflow
* Supervise and mentor a team of 8+ tradespeople
* Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and quality controls
* Coordinate repairs, fabrication, and project deadlines
* Track inventory, tools, and maintenance schedules
* Drive continuous improvement and team performance
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Workshop Foreman/Supervisor in fabrication/welding and fit out (5+ years)
* Strong leadership skills with trade or engineering background (boilermaker/fitter preferred)
* Knowledge of heavy machinery and engineering processes with a focus on structural
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Cert III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent
* Forklift/high-risk work licence advantageous
* Immediate availability ideal
