Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Management Accountant to join our team at Victoria Racing Club (VRC) as part of our new partnership, where Delaware North will support year-round hospitality. As Manager, you will be our senior Finance person on-site and responsible for leading the accounting operational activities, analysing performance to achieve profit margins and business growth.

What will you do?
* Prepare accurate and timely financial reports to support strategic decision-making and business growth
* Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to maintain operational stability and achieve financial objectives
* Analyse business performance, monitoring actuals against forecasts to identify trends and recommend improvements
* Drive profitability and margin optimisation through proactive, data-driven financial strategies
* Provide strong leadership and mentorship to finance team member, fostering development and high performance
* Partner with operations and site management teams as a trusted adviser, ensuring financial strategies align with business goals
* Champion compliance and governance, maintaining adherence to corporate policies, legal requirements, and industry standards
* Enhance brand reputation by supporting initiatives that strengthen the VRC and Delaware North presence in the market
More about you
If you are a personable, commercially driven, and detail-oriented professional, with a strong background in operational finance, join our team to contribute to the financial success and strategic growth of our new partnership.
* A Bachelor of business or equivalent, as well as qualifications as a CA or CPA
* Experience in a Finance role driving revenue growth and improving profitability within hospitality, retail, fast-moving consumer goods
* Effective communication and influencing skills
* Strong business partnering skills and experience
* Understanding of relevant legislative regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards
* You are technically sound with a multi-disciplinary background, coupled with exceptional relationship and stakeholder management skills
