About the Role: Reporting to the Service Desk Lead, the Service Desk Officer is responsible for delivering Level 1 IT support across the organisation. This is a full-time fixed-term position, offering an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic IT environment. You will manage troubleshooting for Windows 10\11, Office 365, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and core infrastructure systems. The role involves supporting and training end users on applications, resolving technical issues for internal stakeholders, and escalating complex problems to senior team members when necessary. A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring timely resolution of IT incidents is key to maintaining smooth business operations. What we are looking for * Demonstrated technical knowledge in Microsoft O365, Exchange Online, CRM Dynamics 2016/365, and Azure services. * Understanding of infrastructure components such as SCCM, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. * Experience supporting IT applications in a complex ICT environment. * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse issues, liaise with stakeholders, and evaluate solutions. * A proactive approach and sense of ownership to manage tasks and ensure professional outcomes. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. * Strong customer service focus and ability to work both independently and as part of a small team. * Tertiary qualification in IT or a related field is required; experience in a Service Desk environment is highly desirable. About the BPC The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing. It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation. Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance.
