About the role:
A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced infrastructure engineer to join their technology team.
This role offers the chance to work across a broad technology stack and contribute to continuous improvement across security, reliability and service delivery.
Day to day duties include:
Provide administrative maintenance, monitoring and support across on-prem and third-party hosted infrastructure.
Participate in planning and implementing cloud migration activities (e.g., O365, Exchange Online, MDM).
Effectively triage and troubleshoot escalated infrastructure issues while managing day-to-day incidents and service requests.
Work closely with security teams to manage desktop and server patching, endpoint protection and OS hardening.
Manage vendors and service providers, ensuring strong performance and delivery outcomes.
Contribute proactively to internal technology projects and improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain systems documentation, configuration standards and operational reporting.
Participate in an on-call rotation and provide occasional after-hours or interstate support when required.
Key Skills & Experience:
Strong experience as a Senior Systems Engineer across hybrid infrastructure and cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with O365 planning, migration and support.
Solid capability with Windows Server, Active Directory and VMware.
Proficiency across key Microsoft technologies: AD, Group Policy, DHCP, MFA, SCCM, ADFS, DFS, Azure, Hyper-V, O365 and PowerShell.
Demonstrated experience with Exchange.
Experience managing vendors and third-party partners.
Background in infrastructure design and implementation.
Exposure to cyber security practices and secure system configuration.
Tertiary qualifications in IT and/or equivalent experience.
Microsoft certifications (MCSE, MCSA)
