THE OPPORTUNITY
This position is perfect for an accountant with 2 years’ experience in a CA/CPA firm. You'll handle a range of accounting tasks and contribute to the firm’s success while enjoying a supportive and dynamic work environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prepare individual tax returns and assist with BAS statements, financials, etc.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and compliant accounting processes.
* Provide general tax and accounting support to clients from diverse sectors.
* Maintain high standards of client and colleague communication.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Australian accounting firm.
* Proficiency in accounting software (Xero experience is a plus).
* Strong skills in preparing tax returns and financial statements.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills with clients and team members.
* Australian citizen, preferably a Mackay/North Queensland resident.
