About the role
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our breakfast and lunch service at our popular North Perth café, Chinta'. This is a full-time role with no evening shifts, making it an excellent opportunity for an accomplished chef looking to maintain a healthy work-life balance. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and service during our peak operating hours.
What you'll be doing
* Developing and executing innovative breakfast and lunch menus that showcase seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients
* Leading and mentoring a team of passionate chefs to ensure exceptional food quality and timely service
* Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
* Collaborating with the management team to optimise kitchen operations and drive continuous improvement
* Staying up-to-date with industry trends and ensuring Chinta' remains a culinary leader in our community
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Head Chef or equivalent senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team to deliver consistently high-quality food
* Excellent time management and organisational skills to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume setting
* Creativity and passion for crafting innovative, flavourful dishes that delight our customers
* Strong working knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with the front-of-house team
