Reporting into the Head of IT Services, you will oversee the operations of our IT infrastructure, network, security and second‐level support services and contribute to the delivery of critical IT projects including:
* Facilitate interdepartmental communication and allocate tasks/resources for daily operations and major projects.
* Ensure efficient resource allocation and cost‐effective, timely support/solutions.
* Manage day‐to‐day operations in purchasing, product & vendor support, and carrier management.
* Drive process improvements and implement documentation for problem resolution.
* Maintain IT inventory, ensuring procurement, support, and maintenance of IT equipment and software licences.
* Uphold RFFR & ISO27001 compliance and manage control implementations.
* Provide hands‐on leadership and assistance to staff for technical issues and system usage.
* Produce timely and meaningful reports for Senior Management, including IT operations and trend reports.
* Achieve financial objectives by managing budgets, forecasting requirements, and analysing variances.
* Plan and respond to service outages, addressing issue rectification/remediation.
* Participate in IT Change Management reviews and approvals.
* Identify, recommend and implement end‐user training programmes to improve computer literacy.
* Act as a key stakeholder in Critical Incident Management processes.
* Conduct yearly staff performance reviews.
* Co‐ordinate and participate in Information Security Management tasks and audits.
* Request feedback to ensure solutions meet business and organisational needs.
* Communicate complex issues effectively to a range of stakeholders.
* Analyse diverse resources and data to inform decision‐making and recommendations.
About You
You combine extensive infrastructure expertise with a strong hands‐on approach, staying close to the technology and actively contributing to solution design, delivery and problem‐solving. You are customer‐focused, trailblazing and comfortable operating at both a strategic and technical level.

* At least 3 years of experience managing staff in a technology support role with at least 5 years of Senior Infrastructure Engineering experience.
* Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related fields (ITIL Essentials Foundation, Project Management, or Quality Systems ISO accreditation a plus).
* Proven leadership skills in an IT infrastructure or operations environment with the ability to build strong working relationships.
* Certification in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure) or relevant experience.
* Strong background in delivering exceptional customer service with a focus on outcomes.
* Extensive experience in senior IT roles, preferably within cloud‐first environments and regulated organisations.
* Experience with both cloud and on‐premise technologies (e.g., Azure, AD, Fortinet firewalls, Veeam backup, MS SharePoint, VPN).
* Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO27001 & RFFR.
* Expertise in Microsoft operating systems and networking technologies.
* Strong problem‐solving skills, highly organised with an analytical mindset.
* Ability to influence stakeholders and manage vendors, including Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
* Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and managing a high‐performing team.
* Knowledge of emerging technologies and their potential applications in IT strategy.
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* Passion for service excellence and results‐driven outcomes.
