The day to day:As a Registered Nurse you will be dedicated to providing a personalised approach to care, tailored to consumer's requirements, including specialist dementia and palliative care.
* You will be required to assist with the co-ordination and management of quality care by providing leadership to the team.
* Plan and implement care using holistic nursing practices.
* Communicate with residents, relatives, staff members and other members of the health team.
* Be responsible for the provision of high-quality nursing and personal care with professional service.
* Monitor the ongoing health status of each resident.
The right fit:We are looking for a RN with a genuine interest in working & caring for the elderly.
* Excellent verbal and written skills.
* Computer skills using Microsoft Office word and Outlook programs.
* Understanding of Infection Control, Manual Handling, WHS, CQI and the Accreditation process.
* The ability to guide and mentor staff.
* Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
* Understanding of the Principles of wound management.
* A National History Criminal Record Check (NHCRC).
* Full working rights.
* Must have this season's influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination booster highly desirable.
* Must be willing to have annual influenza vaccination.
