About the opportunity
Joint Colleges Training Services Pty Ltd (JCTS) is a joint venture between the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). JCTS facilitates shared GP training activities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health initiatives, cultural education, mentorship, and registrar housing in remote communities.
Medical Educator
Reporting to the Regional Manager for SA, you'll play a key role in delivering and evaluating cultural education workshops with clinical components, mentoring GP Registrars, and supporting their induction in alignment with JCTS' strategic plan. You'll also guide GP Supervisors and Registrars in cultural learning, supported by our dedicated cultural education team.
Responsibilities
* Hold AHPRA registration and fellowship from a generalist medical college.
* Bring deep experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health care and community engagement.
* Demonstrate strong skills in registrar supervision and mentorship.
* Be committed to regionally focused medical education that meets community health needs.
Skills and Experience
* Cultural safety expertise and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
* Extensive clinical experience in general practice, with a background in medical education at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
* Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, including mentoring and supervision.
* Required insurances, including professional indemnity (as per AHPRA).
