The Department
The Anaesthesia Department is fully accredited for specialist training and delivers a comprehensive and high-quality service across the hospital, including:
* Pre-admission assessment clinics
* Acute Pain Service rounds
* Anaesthesia and sedation for medical and procedural services
The department has a strong teaching culture and supports a broad multidisciplinary training cohort, including:
* Queensland Anaesthesia Rotational Training Scheme (QARTS) trainees
* College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) trainee
* Rural Generalist trainee
* Principal House Officers (PHOs)
* Junior House Officers (JHOs)
* Dedicated Acute Pain Service Nurse

Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
* FANZCA with specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
* ANZCA Advanced Trainees within 6 months of attaining Fellowship
* International Medical Graduates:
o Assessed by ANZCA as Substantially Comparable
o OR with ANZCA interview dates confirmed
* Doctors from New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, South Africa, Hong Kong, and Taiwan are encouraged to apply and may be eligible for assessment pathways
