About the role
As a Truck Driver (HC - Truck and Tipper ) at JSC Group', you will play a vital role in the company's road transport operations. This position, based in Canberra ACT 2600, involves operating heavy commercial vehicles to safely and efficiently transport Construction/Quarry Materials across the region to different sites. Your dedication and expertise will contribute to the success of JSC Group' and its customers.
What you'll be doing
* Operate heavy commercial trucks (HC licence required - for Truck and Tipper) to transport Construction/Quarry Materials to different sites across the ACT and surrounding areas.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
* Comply with all applicable road traffic regulations, including maintaining logbooks and adhering to driving hour limits
* Load and unload vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
* Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods on time and in good condition
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of operations through feedback and suggestions
What we're looking for
* Heavy Commercial (HC - for Truck and Tipper) driver's licence with a minimum of 2 years' experience operating heavy commercial vehicles
* Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures
* Excellent driving skills and ability to navigate a variety of road conditions
* Commitment to delivering high-quality service and prioritising safety
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
