Base award hourly rate for this role is $25.85 plus casual loading ($32.31 per hour).
About the role
We are seeking Catering Assistants to join the kitchen team in our client's aged care facility located in Queanbeyan, NSW.
Shift Schedule
Multiple shifts across Monday to Sunday.
Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.
Requirements
* The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID‑19 Vaccine, and provide a current Federal Police Check certificate, or be willing to apply for one.
Skills and experience
* Reliable and punctual
* Ability to multi‑task and perform work within deadlines.
* Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
* The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.
* Well‑presented and good customer service skills.
* Access to own reliable transport.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing meal service to aged care residents.
* Cleaning of serveries and dining room set up.
* Adhering to and completing food safety/quality assurance documents.
* Washing dishes in the main kitchen and plating of meals.
* Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen.
* Function set up and clear down.
* Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day‑to‑day tasks.
* Food and beverage service.
