About the role
Join the dedicated team at Soul Support as a Disability Support Worker in QLD. This casual role will see you providing high-quality care and support to PAEDIATRIC individuals living with a disability. You'll play a vital part in empowering clients to live their best lives while promoting their independence, dignity and wellbeing.
What you'll be doing
* Helping YOUTH build capacity and independence
* Engaging clients in recreational and social activities to promote their wellbeing
* Assisting clients with personal care needs, including showering, dressing, and grooming
* Helping clients with meal preparation, household chores, and community access
* Documenting client progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
* Advocating for client rights and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment
What we're looking for
* ASD experince
* A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
* Experience providing person-centred care and support to people living with a disability
* Minimum 6 months of disability support experience required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
* Patience, empathy and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives
* Yellow card, blue card, drivers license and car, First aid & CPR
