BUSINESS MANAGER

We are seeking a results-driven, commercially sharp, and customer-obsessed Business Manager to join our high-performing finance team. This role is the engine of our business, responsible for guiding customers through a premium financing journey—from initial enquiry to successful settlement.

As a trusted advisor, you will manage finance and insurance solutions with precision, transparency, and confidence. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced finance professional who loves the thrill of getting a deal approved and wants to focus on writing and settling high-quality loans without the burden of cold prospecting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Business Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, championing their application from start to finish. Your duties will include:

1. Customer Engagement & Needs Analysis

· Manage a high-volume pipeline of inbound, pre-qualified customer leads, establishing rapid rapport and trust.

· Conduct thorough and responsible lending interviews to assess financial situations and borrowing capacity in line with NCCP guidelines.

· Structure tailored Finance & Insurance (F&I) solutions that meet unique customer objectives while protecting the customer's best interests.

2. Application Preparation & F&I Management

· Collect and verify all necessary customer documentation (payslips, bank statements, identification, etc.).

· Accurately package detailed finance applications for submission to the most suitable lender from our extensive panel.

· Quote and sell secondary products, including comprehensive insurance, extended warranties, and loan protection, to provide a complete ownership experience.

· Structure applications effectively to maximise the chance of a first-time approval.

3. Lender & Stakeholder Management

· Act as the primary liaison between the customer and the lender, advocating on behalf of your customer to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions.

· Maintain clear, consistent, and proactive communication with the customer, providing regular updates on the status of their application.

4. Closing, PPSR & Settlement

· Clearly explain finance approval details, interest rates, and loan terms with total transparency.

· Prepare and manage the signing of all loan and finance documentation with meticulous attention to detail.

· Perform necessary PPSR (Personal Property Securities Register) searches and registrations.

· Work with the operations team to facilitate a smooth settlement process, ensuring funds are available and receipted in a timely manner.

5. Commercial Performance & Compliance

· Consistently achieve agreed monthly settlement targets and KPIs.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and application details in the CRM.

· Manage the finance log and produce performance reporting to support strong commercial outcomes.

· Ensure all activities are conducted in strict adherence to NCCP, responsible lending obligations, and Fintorq's internal compliance policies.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience & Knowledge

· Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a loan writing role, such as an Automotive Business Manager, Finance Broker, or Asset Finance Loan Writer.

· A deep understanding of consumer credit principles, loan structuring, and lender credit policies.

· Strong working knowledge of the NCCP Act and responsible lending obligations.

· Familiarity with using lender application portals and modern CRM platforms.

Skills & Attributes

· Sales & Negotiation: Strong sales closing skills with a resilient and persistent approach to overcoming obstacles.

· Attention to Detail: Meticulous accuracy in data entry and application preparation to ensure "right first time" submissions.

· Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to operate comfortably in a premium, high-expectation environment.

· Efficiency: The ability to work under pressure and manage a high volume of applications without compromising quality.

· Integrity: Unquestionable ethical standards and a commitment to compliant practices.

WHY JOIN US?

Focus on What You Do Best: We provide you with high-quality, pre-qualified leads. No cold prospecting—your time is spent engaging customers and writing deals.
