The successful candidate will undergo a combination of on-the-job training and off the job training to achieve MSL20122 - Certificate II in Sampling & Measurement. A dedicated ATC Work Smart Industry Consultant will assist you every step of the way, you’ll be able to contact your mentor when you need them, plus they regularly visit you in the workplace.
The role:
ATC Work Smart (Geraldton) is currently seeking to fill a Traineeship positions. This position will allow applicants to broaden their horizons through on-the-job training and provide the potential for future career pathways within the water management, environment and sustainability industry.
To be considered, applicants should be Members of the Yamatji Southern Regional Corporation (or eligible to become members). You will also have the ability and willingness to undertake the following:
- Supporting the team as required in the delivery of water measurement activities, including ground water bores and river flows
- Building relationships and providing a high standard of customer service
- Complying with public and private sector legislative requirements and Workplace policies, procedures and OHS requirements
- Assisting with the preparation and drafting of monitoring data and reports, correspondence and other documents as directed
- General administration, recordkeeping, adhering to timelines and contributing to measurement reporting
- Undertaking additional duties within the skill and scope of position capabilities, Industry and departmental needs
- These roles will require full Covid 19 vaccination and random D&A; Testing
- Manual Drivers license desirable

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will:
- have successfully completed Year 10
- be able to effectively communicate and have outstanding interpersonal skills
- have a ‘can do’ attitude
- be able to work independently and in small teams
- have a willingness to learn about workplace health and safety.
