- Due to internal promotion, we are currently recruiting a Planning and Logisitics Manager based in our Head Office in Mascot. The Planning & Logistics Manager (PLM) is responsible for managing the demand planning and execution activities required to meet customer needs, marketing requirements, manufacturing capabilities and meet service level objectives while maintaining appropriate inventory levels. The PLM manages the inbound team and third-party partners for import and export freight and contract logistics.**WHAT WILL YOU BE REPONSIBLE FOR?**
- Strategic-
- Develop inventory investment strategy on an annual basis ensuring alignment on a leadership and regional level.
- Partner and collaborate with all commercial and functional teams to understand strategic plan objectives to inform local supply chain strategy.- Tactical-
- Execute the local supply chain strategy and contribute to regional strategy.
- Increase the ANZ maturity of SI&OP through executive reviews and collaboration with stakeholders
- Drive performance and service improvement for our customers through process and systems improvement across all local supply chain and inventory management activities.
- Manage contract logistic (3PL warehouse) and inbound freight partners by building strong relationships, day to day oversight of issues and monthly performance reviews.
- Maintain an effective 3PL warehousing Business Continuity Plan (BCP)- Operational-
- Maintain profitable supply chain plan for existing and new product introduction through oversight and management across all business units and the SI&OP process.
- Effectively manage supply chain Annual Operating Plan targets and cost reduction targets. Determine key supply chain KPIs and effectively manage teams to set KPI's. Generate compliance and metrics reports, provide insights and proposals for improvement.
- Manage budget costs and drive annual cost as percentage of sales improvement each year.-
- Provide continual visibility of all inventory and demand planning activities to ensure business alignment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to ANZ tender responses to as they pertain to supply chain resilience and sustainability to help win business.- Leadership-
- Responsible for the management, development and coaching of a high-performance team including recruitment of new team members; oversight of outbound day to day tasks; individual performance development and performance improvement; escalation point for all customer related enquiries.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the inbound team.
- Promote a culture of respect, diversity and inclusion that enables all team members to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organisational objectives.
- Empower Supply Chain Partners to lead without authority, to cultivate influence and to engage functional and commercial stakeholders in effectively navigating change.- Quality & Compliance-
- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
- Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
- Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
- Ensures BSC complies with and is abreast of other local regulations and government requirements as they pertain to Supply Chain. (Eg import clearance and APCO)**WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
- Required Education & Experience:- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, related business or technical discipline
- Appropriate experience in supply chain management or operations management, project management and team leadership
- Strong success record implementing improvements.-
- Leadership experience; leading, motivating others and change management.- Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization as well as with suppliers and exercising a high degree of tact and diplomacy to accomplish objectives.
- Good interpersonal, project management and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues.
- Ability to build, coach and motivate high performance teams, while holding employees accountable for results.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.- Preferred:- Professional APICS or similar certification.
- Lean operations and continuous process improvement experience.
- Previous commercial management experience and ability to drive strong financial performance from assigned business unit.-
