A permanent full-time opportunity has become available with a market leading supplier within the transport industry, located in the western suburb of Brisbane. The Opportunity
The Senior Financial Manager will lead an accounts team and oversee financial strategy, reporting and systems, ensuring strong financial health and sustainable growth. Relied upon by the executive team to support timely decisions, key responsibilities include:
* Financial management (including management of asset register, general ledger, external audits and provision of analysis/feedback to managers and other stakeholders on financial performance)
* Financial reporting and budgeting (preparation of accurate and comprehensive reports, including treasury and cash flow reporting, financial statements, annual budgets, cashflow reporting, financial modelling, and operational analysis for executive reporting)
* Management of financial systems and ERP (including development of dashboards and analytics to support data-driven decisions)
* Commercial and business performance analysis (analyse and report on commercial and operational metrics including accounts payable, receivable, sales trends, inventory, cash conversion, liquidity, profitability, ROI and expense/revenue trends)
* Strategic Planning (including partnering with executive leadership to align financial strategy with business strategy, evaluate investment opportunities, monitor competitor/industry benchmarks and develop long-term financial and capital plans to support sustainable growth)
Remuneration for this role will be negotiated in the range of $150,000 – $180,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate. Based in modern, state-of-the-art premises with on-site car parking and easy access from all sides of Brisbane, the role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a mix of in-office and remote work.
Qualifications and Experience
* Extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
* Proven experience in capital structuring, debt/equity financing and long-term investment planning.
* Strong record in commercial strategy development, market analysis and scenario planning to drive competitive advantage.
* Experienced in ERP systems including financial reporting platforms, digital finance transformation, system integration and process automation.
* Demonstrated success establishing enterprise-wide performance frameworks and KPIs linking financial outcomes to strategy.
* Advanced knowledge of treasury, liquidity management and risk governance.
* Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and support leadership teams through financial budgets and strategic planning, aligning resources to organisational priorities.
* Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics (or closely related field) with professional membership (CA, CPA, CFA or CMA or equivalent).
