Based at Ottoway, west of Adelaide city, this role presents as a rare opportunity to join our business and work as part of our wonderful Jewellery department Team.
The secret to our success and point of difference is our commitment to manufacture our finished jewellery pieces in Australia, competing head on with overseas manufacturers whilst maintaining our Responsible Jewellery Council and ISO accreditation.
The Role:
You will be joining a successful Team where your functional responsibilities will be to:
* Setting gem/precious stones
* Finishing custom made rings in addition to styles from our catalogue range
* Build jewellery to pre-set specifications/styles
* Repair jewellery - rings, bracelets, necklace resizing, resetting of fallen stones and claw repairs
To be successful in this position, the following skills and attributes are essential:
* Demonstrated experience and capability in setting and/or goldsmithing with very high personal standards of work and knowledge of metals and gems/precious stones
* Willingness to learn, be flexible and open to assisting others through upskilling and education
* Excellent communicator
* A great team player
* Ability to work independently, prioritise demands and meet deadlines
* Be good at time management, multi-tasking/coordinating, organising and attention to detail
* Manage changing workflow requirements
* And of course, you are personable, caring, supportive, and friendly
This position is suited for candidates who are available on a full-time basis, but we may be open to part time or casual work contact arrangements if it is practicable for all parties
