About the role
- The purpose of this position within the Residential Transition Care Program is to deliver Social Work clinical services, in accordance with established clinical protocols, prescribed professional standards and the Queensland Health Code of Conduct.
- The position provides an opportunity for a new graduate Social Worker (applicant to have completed their Social Work qualifications within 12 months of the closing date).
About you
- Deliver quality social work clinical services across a variety of caseloads in a Residential Transition Care, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- Undertake Social Work routine duties independently, with more complex clinical decisions and problem solving made under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more experienced Social Worker.
- Provide case management services, including liaison with patients and their families, other health professionals, supervisors, students and researchers.
- Actively participate within the discipline of social work and the multidisciplinary team's clinical environment to ensure that social work services are integrated, efficient and equitable for the community serviced.
- Commensurate with level of experience in role, provide student education and clinical practice supervision for less experienced clinicians, including direction to assistant, support staff and work experience students, under guidance of senior clinicians
