Applicants must also be have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, be adaptable, work under pressure, problem solve, possess a patient-centred attitude and be motivated to strive for continued improvementApplicants should hold:NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services certificate or equivalent.Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy TechnicianAccredited Checking Qualification (ACPT) or near completion of the course.Interviews Date TBCMain duties of the jobYou will be part of a team that provides a high quality, patient focused medicines management service to the wards.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses and liaising with colleagues within primary care.You will be required to undertake a variety of tasks such as: Medication histories, tailored patient consultations.
Supporting timely medicines reconciliation & medicine adherence assessments, support flow, social and community enablement.
Support reduction in medicines wastage & carbon footprint, reduction in missed, delayed and omitted doses.
Labelling, dispensing and checking duties within our highly valued Satellite Pharmacy and within the main dispensary when required.The post holder will also be given the opportunity to contribute to Service improvement projects and CIPS (Cost improvement Programmes).

As well as offering access to a range of core skills training and professional development.Job responsibilities** Please see the Job Description and the Person Specification for more details on the jobs responsibilities **Person SpecificationExperienceExperience of working as a medicines management technicianDispensing experiencePrevious experience of training / supervision of other staffDemonstrates ability to deal with the general public and demonstrates empathy and sensitivity to patients needs when requiredPrimary Care ExperiencePatient Medication CounsellingConducting / being involved with quality improvementElectronic PrescribingKnowledgeGood knowledge of clinical pharmacy and role of a medicines management technicianUnderstanding of a hospital environmentGood I.T skills and knowledge of pharmacy computer systemsGood understanding of working effectively within a MDT teamGood understanding of Medicines OptimisationKnowledge of regulations, legislation and pharmacy standards of conductKnowledge of cost improvement or other efficiency or savings programmesQualificationRegistered Pharmacy Technician with GPHCNVQ in Pharmacy Services Level 3 with BTEC or equivalentEvidence of commitment to CPD and maintains an up to date CPD portfolioNational accredited Checking Qualification (or working towards)National Medicines Management Course or equivalent or evidence of competenceSkills & AbilitiesDemonstrates communication (written and oral), organisational and problem solving skillsAccurate with good attention to detailExcellent customer care and near patient care serviceAbility to work under pressureDemonstrates the ability to work and concentrate whilst coping with interruptions and distractionsPersonal awareness of limitationsFriendly / supportive, highly motivated, confident and enthusiasticUpholds and models the trust valuesReliable.
