Overview
Come join the team at the new Department of Housing and Works. The Department delivers and maintains essential social housing and critical infrastructure across Western Australia—including schools, hospitals and police facilities.
We manage tenancy services, support housing provision in remote Aboriginal communities, and oversee government employee accommodation. Through office accommodation solutions, State Fleet management, procurement, planning and asset policy, we empower other government agencies to deliver their best.
This role, within the Buildings and Contracts Directorate, supports the maintenance and delivery of non‑residential government buildings. About The Role
This leadership role is the face of the Department's non‑residential works delivery in the Wheatbelt and Goldfields/Esperance regions of Western Australia.
The Regional Manager leads and manages a small team across four office locations including Kalgoorlie, Merredin, Northam and Esperance. The role is responsible for the effective delivery of the Department's maintenance, minor works and capital infrastructure delivery across the Region.
This role partners with and collaborates with a diverse range of stakeholders to create benefits for local communities. Therefore, regular travel is involved, and a current driver's licence is required.

The successful candidate should have a passion for supporting local industry and will work closely with existing, new and emerging businesses to maximise local outcomes in the delivery of Department of Housing and Works services.
The Regional Manager will also lead the continued growth of the Department's engagement with Registered Aboriginal Businesses in support of the State Government's Aboriginal Procurement Policy.
You will deliver results through leaders and your teams in a single business area, and by influencing leaders in other business areas. You will add value by providing direction and developing and coaching your leaders to achieve operational objectives. You will make decisions about how services should be provided based on the resources at hand.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to appoint to this advertised vacancy, it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that may arise in the Agency within the next twenty‑four (24) months on a full‑time, part‑time, permanent or fixed‑term basis with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency.
