The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Temporary HR Business Partner for 3 months to join this dynamic Human Resources team within a leading Australian manufacturing organisation.
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to: Strategic HR Partnership: Provide generalist HR support to assigned business units, including performance management, change management, and employee engagement initiatives.
Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied across the organisation.
Industrial Relations Management: Provide expert advice and coaching to site management on industrial relations matters, grievance resolution, and interpretation of the EA.
Manage and resolve complex workplace disputes, ensuring timely and legally compliant outcomes.
Enterprise Agreement (EA) Negotiations: Lead the planning, strategy, and execution of the current Enterprise Agreement negotiation process.
Serve as a primary point of contact in negotiation meetings with unions and employee representatives.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of industrial benchmarks, wage data, and business capacity to inform negotiation parameters.
Draft, review, and finalise all negotiation materials and agreement documentation in compliance with the Fair Work Act and relevant industrial legislation.
Skills Experience Proven experience (5+ years) as an HR Business Partner, ideally within a manufacturing, heavy industry, or similar operational environment.
Demonstrable, hands-on experience leading Enterprise Agreement negotiations in Australia.
Deep and current knowledge of Australian industrial relations legislation, including the Fair Work Act.
Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex industrial matters to diverse stakeholders (management, employees, unions).
High level of commercial acumen and the ability to balance business objectives with employee relations needs.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field.
