Global Resource Support (GRS) is a Perth-based Western Australian Mining contractor with a strong track record delivering shutdown and maintenance works across heavy industry and mining.
Global Resource Support are currently seeking experienced Coded Welders and Sub-Arc Welders for an upcoming shutdown running from 10th April to 15th May.

Shutdown Details
* Location: Muchea, WA
* Roster: DIDO from Perth – local shutdown role (no flights).
* Start: 10 April 2026
* Finish: 15 May 2026
* Scope: Kiln, Cooler & Scrubber Mechanical Works
* Rates: Great shutdown rates on offer (based on trade and experience)
* Shifts: Day/night shifts may apply (subject to shutdown schedule)
* Travel allowance may apply (eligibility criteria apply)
* Limited accommodation support may be available (subject to eligibility and approval)
Responsibilities
* Carrying out welding activities using FCAW, GTAW, MIG, MMAW welding processes on various exotic materials
* Sub-Arc Welders must also have proven experience in Sub-Arc (SAW) welding
* Consulting with peers to ensure all welding is carried out in a timely manner and in accordance with specifications
* Must be able to pass a 4G (Plate) and/or 6G Pipe (TIG) weld test, including X-ray standard weld testing on Carbon/Mild steel plate and pipe
* Welding in accordance with A.S.1554 and A.S.1796 standards on Medium / Heavy Plate, Structural Steel and Pipe (including positional welding)
* Proven experience in complex welding tasks within industrial environments
* In-depth knowledge of materials and metallurgical properties
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Coded Welder
* Australian recognised trade qualification
* Relevant Mechanical Trade (Welder) qualification
* Current Working at Heights, Confined Space & Gas Test Atmosphere (within 2 years)
* White/Blue Card
* Current HRWL (High Risk Work Licence)
* Ability to complete VOC and weld testing prior to mobilisation
* Ability to weld test all positions – Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel
* Strong commitment to safety and a team-focused mindset
* Proven experience in complex welding tasks within industrial environments
* Sound knowledge of materials and metallurgical properties
