We are seeking a reliable and experienced Finance Officer to join the team at our national headquarters in North Geelong and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and enjoys working with people and numbers.
As a key member of our lean but capable Finance & Accounting team, you will have the opportunity to gain experience across all aspects of the financial administration of a national business.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
* Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
* Maintain employee records and respond to employee payroll queries.
* Ensure compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and reporting requirements.
Accounts Payable
* Process supplier invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
* Request and record invoice approvals from internal stakeholders.
* Prepare supplier payment runs and supporting documentation.
Accounts Receivable and Credit Control
* Oversee customer accounts, record cash receipts and follow up late debtors.
* Review credit applications and respond to staff queries regarding customer credit.
General Bookkeeping and Financial Administration
* Undertake regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
* Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Expense Management
* Oversee our expense management platform, ensuring expenses are recorded accurately and in compliance with business policies.
* Process reimbursement requests and respond to staff queries.
About You
You have sound professional judgment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Experience as a Finance Officer, Bookkeeper, Accounts Officer, or similar. Payroll experience will be highly regarded.
* Technologically literate and confident using accounting/ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft 365 applications.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
