About the role:
As our Estimator, you will play a critical role in the front-end of the business, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders that set projects up for success. You will work collaboratively with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors and consultants to develop winning submissions while ensuring commercial risk is well understood and managed.
You will be able to demonstrate experience in:
* Preparing estimates and tenders for construct-only and/or design & construct commercial projects
* Pricing projects typically ranging from $5M to $20M
* Undertaking detailed take-offs, cost planning and value engineering
* Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
* Assessing scope, risks, opportunities and buildability during tender phase
* Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation
* Maintaining estimating databases and cost plans
* Contributing to continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone aligned with our values and vision to be Contractor of Choice. You will be detail-oriented, commercially astute and collaborative in your approach.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
* Previous estimating experience within commercial construction
* Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills
* Experience using estimating software (Cost X, Estimate one and MS Project)
* Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and market rates
* Legal entitlement to work in Australia
