Our client, a prominent Defence organisation located in Mawson Lakes, is at the forefront of innovation in defence technologies. They are currently seeking an adept Quality Assurance Officer to take charge of critical responsibilities in supplier audits, part inspection and QMS document management.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct thorough Supplier Audits to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards.
- Perform meticulous part inspections for small components used in defence land programme.
- Develop and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documents for the organisation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement and enhance quality control processes.
- Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to communicate quality requirements and promptly address any quality-related issues.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in quality processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in quality assurance, within an engineering environment.
- Familiar with conducting Supplier Audits
- Demonstrated exposure to parts inspection (Small engineering components
- Proficiency with Quality management systems
- Experience in the automotive industry is a bonus but not required (Such as Ford, Holden, Mitsubishi, or Vpath)
- Strong commitment to following processes and methodologies.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- High level of attention to detail
