Operational Training and Assessment Professional
Oreion are currently collaborating with a leading gold mining operation in Western Australia to fill the position of Operational Trainer and Assessor for an 8:6 roster, working from Perth.
This fixed-term contract has a minimum duration of three months, with potential for extension based on performance and mutual suitability.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Conduct thorough training needs analyses to identify areas requiring improvement;
* Develop and implement comprehensive training plans to enhance departmental capabilities;
* Source suitable external courses to supplement in-house training;
* Design, develop, and deliver tailored internal training packages aligned with business objectives;
* Collaborate in the coordination of on-site and off-site training initiatives;
* Deliver training courses and assessments, including orientation workshops, VOCs, safety awareness programs, and inductions;
* Maintain accurate records, documents, and packages related to training activities;
* Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement improvements as necessary.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (essential);
* Minimum one year of experience in mining or processing operations (essential);
* Familiarity with INX Intuition (desirable);
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of training and assessment practices, as well as relevant legislation;
* Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
* Current WA Class C manual driver's license.
**Work Arrangements:**
* Fixed term contract;
* Contract length: 3 months;
* Schedule: 12-hour shifts;
* Location: Working from Perth.
