About The Role
Our goal to build 'healthier rural people and thriving communities' is the shared responsibility of all involved in care of our patients and the Hospital Assistant is an integral and valued member of our team. We are looking to increase our casual pool and seeking suitable applicants to apply at this time.
This varied and interesting role incorporates all aspects of catering and cleaning tasks within the hospital from breakfast through to dinner in the kitchen and early cleaning days in order to have our hospital up and running for their busy day ahead.
You will need to be reliable, punctual and energetic, physically fit, have a caring and supportive attitude and use your good communication skills to be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Remaining calm in emergencies and the capability to handle equipment such as wheelchairs, beds and other medical equipment is also valued. You will have the ability to participate in a rotating roster, including after hours, weekends and public holidays.
In a close knit team you will be well supported and your dedication will be seen and appreciated. You will be an integral member of the community and you'll see not only the results of your care, but the appreciation of the community of the role you play in their health.
