A bit about your role
The Executive Manager Security Architecture is responsible for shaping and maintaining enterprise-wide IT and Network security architecture aligned with strategic objectives and regulatory standards.
This role leads a high-performing team of security architects, fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture, and provides expert guidance on emerging technologies. It involves partnering with senior stakeholders across CSO, CIO, SEO and Networks to translate security strategy into actionable architecture and solutions while supporting delivery teams throughout implementation.
The role also engages with external agencies and industry bodies, drives continuous improvement and ensures compliance through robust governance, risk management and audit practices.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical leader with deep expertise in Security Architecture underpinned by a strong foundation in Cyber Security, Software Engineering or Telecommunications. They hold relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM and cloud security credentials and bring a strategic mindset to designing and evolving secure enterprise environments.
They possess advanced knowledge across IT infrastructure, software, and network security, secure engineering practices, AI / ML security and data privacy with a proven ability to architect resilient systems that align with business and regulatory requirements.
Well-versed in frameworks like NIST CSF and Australian Government regulations including the SOCI Act, the candidate excels in implementing Zero Trust Architecture, Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and securing critical telecommunications infrastructure.
They are adept at translating complex technical concepts for executive stakeholders, shaping security architecture roadmaps and driving enterprise-wide adoption of secure design principles. As a people leader they foster high-performing inclusive teams through structured development, mentoring and continuous feedback.
