The Finance Business Partner position is responsible for undertaking a range of finance business partnering activities including financial budget and forecasting development, actual financial performance monitoring, analysis and reporting, and project/program financial management.
In providing these services, the position is to exercise professional judgement and provide sound advice, guidance, and support to assist internal clients in their decision-making and business performance.
The position requires the incumbent to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and apply professional judgement and well-developed communication skills in providing insight and advising on financial management issues to the clients.Position Outcomes / AccountabilitiesExercise professional judgement in undertaking a range of financial business partnering activities including budget and forecast development, actual financial performance monitoring, analysis and reporting, and project/program financial management.Provide sound advice, guidance and support to internal clients relating to financial business partnering services and ensure internal client compliance with Department financial policies and procedures.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and inform, advise and influence clients in understanding financial matters and outcomes which affect their decision making and business performance.Apply written and oral communication skills and exercise professional judgement to provide insight into financial business partnering related policies, procedures, and services provided.Key Selection CriteriaThe Department of Transport and Planning is seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to provide expert financial support and strategic guidance to internal clients.
